چکیده
The present study aimed to detect Yersinia ruckeri bacteria in fish samples collected from the rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss, Walbaum, 1792) farms South Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey through bacteriological culturing and polymerase chain reaction. Separate visits were made farming facilities Diyarbakır, Adıyaman, Şanlıurfa, Batman January February 2021, 30 with an average live weight 200–250 g each facility. A total 1,200 taken 40 farms. Liver, spleen, kidney, tissue specimens trout. was isolated liver muscle on McConkey Agar for examinations. Isolated strains identified by MALDİ–TOF PCR. It detected liver, 23 out In conclusion, these local These must implement vaccination, minimize stress factors affecting fish, avoid overstocking. best methods protect against infection include avoiding overstocking, low oxygen levels, underqualified labor force.

Biochemical and molecular heterogeneity among isolates of Yersinia ruckeri from rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss, Walbaum) in north west Germany
BACKGROUND Enteric Redmouth Disease (ERM), caused by Yersinia ruckeri, is one of the most important infectious diseases in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) aquaculture in Europe. More recently, non-motile vaccine resistant isolates appear to have evolved and are causing disease problems throughout Europe, including Germany. The aim of this study was to analyse the variation of biochemical an...
متن کاملGills as morphological biomarkers in extensive and intensive rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss, Walbaum 1792) production technologies
We investigated environmental impacts on rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) reared at fish farms with either extensive technology, in a flow-through system (FTS, n = 3), or intensive technology, in a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS, n = 3). All fish were fed the same rations. Fish were caught in spring and autumn (body mass, 501-750 g) from these six farms. We performed macroscopic (inta...
متن کاملCorrection: Skeletal Anomaly Monitoring in Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss, Walbaum 1792) Reared under Different Conditions
The incidence of skeletal anomalies could be used as an indicator of the "quality" of rearing conditions as these anomalies are thought to result from the inability of homeostatic mechanisms to compensate for environmentally-induced stress and/or altered genetic factors. Identification of rearing conditions that lower the rate of anomalies can be an important step toward profitable aquaculture ...
متن کاملRainbow Trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss
Rainbow trout are classified as Oncorhynchus mykiss, and as such belong to the same genus as Pacific salmon, and to the family Salmonidae, which includes Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar), various trout (Salvelinus sp.), Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus), Arctic grayling (Thymallus arcticus) and whitefish (Coregonus sp.). Rainbow trout are native to areas around the North Pacific Ocean, from souther...
متن کاملAn experimental study to evaluate pathogenicity of Yersinia ruckeri isolated from rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in Caspian trout (Salmo caspius)
The main objective of this study was to evaluate the pathogenicity of isolated Yersinia ruckeri from Caspian trout. Y. ruckeri specimens were isolated from infected rainbow trout farms located in north of Iran. The identification was confirmed by biochemical tests and 16s rRNA gene sequencing. The pathogenicity test was carried out to determine the virulence of the Y. ruckeri by IP injection...
